Jose Venegas Padilla

Jose’s approach is grounded in lived experience, recovery education, facilitation, personal accountability, and the belief that people are more than their hardest moments or past behaviors.

Brave Harbor grew from a desire to create spaces where people can speak honestly, use practical tools, respect different recovery pathways, and build lives that are not organized around shame.

As director of the recovery program, Jose’s role is to shape the mission, develop original educational resources, support facilitators, and protect the inclusive brave-space culture of the community.
