A harbor for honesty, growth, and forward movement.
Brave Harbor Recovery is a secular, inclusive recovery-education and peer-support community built around practical tools, personal choice, and meaningful connection.
Our mission
To create accessible recovery spaces where people can understand their patterns, strengthen their choices, develop practical life skills, and build lives that reflect their values.
Our philosophy
Recovery can involve behavior change, identity rebuilding, emotional growth, healthier relationships, community connection, and renewed purpose. No single pathway fits every person. Brave Harbor supports informed choice and encourages members to use professional care whenever it is needed.
What secular means here
Brave Harbor does not require religion, prayer, belief in a higher power, or participation in spiritual practices. People of every faith and people with no faith are welcome. Members may speak from their own experience, but no belief system is presented as a requirement for recovery.
What members can expect
- A welcoming environment centered on respect
- Recovery language that does not define a person by a diagnosis or behavior
- Tools drawn from practical behavior-change concepts
- Space for reflection, accountability, and personal agency
- Clear boundaries between peer support and professional treatment
